loving the eco packaging

So i've been working on my photography..............................so that means pretty much taking photos of everything - and then some!!!
Anyways - thought i should probably take some photos of Sparky Jones coooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllll eco packaging!!!! Yeppers these goodies aren't just delivered in a jiffy bag........................they come wrapped up all present like..............coz who doesn't love PRESENTS!!!!!!
The chocolate brown kraft paper is 100% recycled, all cards are printed on recycled cardstock......................and every thing is red - chocolate brown and kraft (thats Sparky's favourite colours).

The O.B Jones and Milly Jones arrive in these recycled kraft jewellery boxes....to keep them safe and cute!!!

If you can't tell......................i'm pretty excited!!!! I LOVE WRAPPING PRESENTS!!!

Put the Petal to the metal

Ok - that was a really bad joke........but i got some serious work done today.........and my sweatshop was really a sweatshop as it was a balmy 36'c.....outside, i hate to think what temp i was sewing in ::: actually i think i'm going to have to make some sweatbands for my head and wrists if i'm going to keep this pace up during the summer!!!!! giggle
Totally love it - but does provide one with obstacles when sewing...........as in....i was sewing by my little sewing machine light only....any other light or heat source(no iron or blinds open allowed today!!)...would have really added to the climbing heat factor!!!

So as i was getting into my extreme sewing, my flip flop fell off....but i was totally in the zone, so i decided to keep going....UNTIL i touched the pedal with my bare skin...............this thing was not hot..............it was scorchingly HOT...like i'm talking the smell of bacon !!!!!

But needless to say, even under the crazy conditions and self abuse....i got lots done!!!
7 Milly Jones headbands, some of which i made the flower supa kitschy huge.......for those that really want to get into looking stunningly cute!!!!

So i'll be posting them in the next couple o days -with a new addition!!! Yeppers a Sparky Jones frequent flyer (thats what i have decided to call Sparky's return customers), just asked me about the Betsy Jones earrings.....which i have for some reason totally neglected to post in my etsy shop!!!! So i'll be adding them to my shop ::: so that there will be matching earrings in small and large for all Sparky Jones Accessories -oh how gorgey!!!!

hard to concentrate!!

Its so hard to concentrate these days - now that summer is here..........
Yester i was supposed to be working......but ...........well how could i say NO to this!!!! I totally felt like i was on vacation!!

So Sparky Jones is going to be reviewed on a supa cool mama blog (http://www.simple-momreviews.com/) next week.......which means i need to get VERY organised, take all my photos and restock my etsy shop !!! I'm supa excited for the review coz it is such an awesome opportunity for Sparky to get a bit more out there, and i've met an pretty cool mama Kate in the process!!!!

So throughout the day i'm going be adding all my exciting new goodies!!!!! Plus working on some new Milly Jones headbands!!

'Peaony Rose' Waste Wonderful Wristlet....is supa girlie for a supa kinda girl. With her splashes of pinks, crimson, marshmallow n' chocolate!!!! And a gorgey lil wrist strap

'Honey n' Rye' and 'Honey n' Oats'........................are simply shabby chic, with their kitschy yellows and chocolate browns!!
and lastly......... 3 'Retro Ruby's'.........................who doesn't love to be a rubylicious saucey minx !!

Fresh batch of O.B's

Just finished a fresh batch of teal and green obi belts....................
I'd been wanting to make something in greens department -and then a lil lady from Canmore got my brain going and gave me some GREaT ideas!!!!

'Golfer Green' has such kitschy green goodness going on - with her green/white houndstooth front, with splashes of mint, teal and japanese floral applique............. and kelly green silk on the reverse side to make one feel like...........one classy babe

'Forest Mint' is just as fresh as she sounds!!!! With patches of teal, golf green and japanese florally goodness appliqued onto a green/white kitschy houndstooth, and the back side............a beautiful deep teal

'Ocean Teal' is ode to the teal!!! So japanesey is this combination - with teal, golf green and japanese floral appliqued onto a sophisicated light teal uber tactile fabric!!!! And a very complimenting deep ocean teal reverse side!!!

Even the backs look pretty sophis-ti-ma-cated!!!!

Cherry Sorbet anyone??

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Cherry Sorbet!!! This cute Kinn Jones hat is loaded with pink and Cherry ::: hand stitching, buttons and trimmings look great on my repurposed Olive cargo pants!!! The inside is a pink/white striped upcycled cotton, and i used a delicious sunflower seed coloured ORGANIC COTTON JERSEY for the inner band to make her fit just right!!! There are 2 in the shop - small and large

lil miss sunshine

I'm just loving the sunshine, makes one feel a lil happier and inspired......................so as i was looking through my massive fabric stash.............all these lemony numbers seemed to attract my eyeballs........................so i thought - this combination would make the cutiest summer inspired Busy Jones.......so much so - i really want to keep it for myself!!!!! But i simply can't keep everything if i want to be a successful business!!!

I just posted a couple o things in the shop, and will be posting a few things through out the day
